Best Short Film Festival in Miami
Our jurors have voted, and we’re thrilled to announce the award-winners of this year’s 2023 SMIFF!
Congratulations to Sergi Marti Maltas (The Bathtub) who was awarded best Narrative; Álvaro G. Company and Meka Ribera (Table for 3) who where presented with the Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies Award; Kevin Mannens (Marsh Clouds: the oysters of Harris Neck) who received the Best Documentary Award: Andrew Kelleher (The Beatles Vs The Stones), was presented with the Jury Award and Cheers and Ana Adzic (Way back) who was awarded Best Film of our Focus on Serbia screening.
A big Shorts Fest congratulations to these and all the outstanding films screened at the festival.
The 2023 Shorts Miami International Film Festival ends with a bang! We look forward to next year’s films!

We are programming three nights of meaningful short films to screen at the Cosford Cinema, at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
A jury of international industry professionals will award cash prizes to the most engaging films.
Winning films will screen for an audience at the 250-seat Cosford Cinema, Coral Gables
Managed by film faculty from the University of Miami, the Shorts Miami International Film Festival is premiering in 2023.
